Where Average Happens

So I decided to make a YouTube tribute to Brian Scalabrine, one of the biggest jokes of the NBA. I always thought it would be hilarious if he were in one of those "where amazing happens" commercials and my friend added that it should say "where average happens," so here it is:

People Who Should Die

What follows are a list of people who should die:

-NBC Executives - This one's simple. As long as you're not deaf and blind, then you should know about the late night talk show feud. Conan and his staff got fucked, plain and simple, blasted in the ass nice and hard.

-Guy with the ironic mustache - It's not funny anymore. Just stop. Please.

-People who say "literally" or "random" a lot - You are not literally starving you rich bitch, you have enough money on your parent's debit card to feed a small country, and my clothes are not so random, I actually bought them and put them on this morning in a pre-meditated fashion....

Burning Down The House

One of my favorite writers, Charles Baxter, published a book of essay called "Burning Down the House." In the preface, he explains the title of the book and what burning down the house means to him. He writes that in order to exercise true creativity we must burn the house of imagination down to it's foundation and then build it back up. Now, that's obviously paraphrased and he put it a lot better than me, but I thought it was a very poetic and inventive evolution of the old cliche "think outside the box." This quote, while I don't remember the exact wording, has remained an inspiration for me...
